Artist Albert Goethals (Bruges, 1885 -1973) was also a painter, but mainly active as an etcher. He studied at the academy in Bruges, under the direction of Edmond Van Hove, and at the academy in Brussels with Richir and Delville. He mainly painted Bruges corners.
