Karin Székessy 2007Karin Székessy (born April 17, 1938 in Essen) is a German photographer.

Life [edit] Between 1957 and 1959 she studied photography in Munich. Since 1959 she has been creating photos of dolls, to which she added nudes and correspondence with Paul Wunderlich from 1963. From 1960 to 1966, Székessy worked as a reportage photographer for the magazine Kristall and was a member of the contemporaries group between 1962 and 1967. From 1967 to 1969 she taught at the Werkkunstschule Hamburg, specializing in fashion photography. Karin Székessy was married to Paul Wunderlich from 1971 until his death in 2010. Between 1984 and 1987 she created around 300 cover photos for Ullstein crime novels. Székessy lives and works in Hamburg and southern France.
