Founded in 1960 - dissolved in 1961
Art Construit was founded in 1960 by some former members of Formes. The focus of the group was on broadening support for constructivism. In addition, they also chose to place this art in a much broader context than just geometric abstraction. There was also room for kinetic art, op art and lyrical abstraction. The group has only existed for a year, and has released two publications. Compared to Formes and before that Art Abstrait, Art Construit managed to hold some international exhibitions.
