Founded in 1935 - dissolved in 2005
The Gooische Schildersvereniging, also known as the 'Gooische', split off in 1935 from the Laren-Blaricum Artists' Association. This happened because of the dissatisfaction among some members with the mild admission requirements of the Artists' Association Laren-Blaricum. The Gooische Schildersvereniging went to exhibit in Hotel Hamdorff and sold works by its members. The association can be regarded as part of the Larensche School. For logistical reasons, it was decided to merge Laren-Blarium and De Gooische, which happened in 2005. De Gooische was disbanded and its members joined Laren-Blaricum.
