National Artists Association De Ploegh
Founded as the Amersfoort Artists Guild, De Ploegh has developed into a national society. After the war, the name was changed to the Amersfoort Artists Society, but non-Amersfoorters soon became members of the association. Amateurs really couldn't join. This is in contrast to the De Ploegh group, which were often younger, more modern and more progressive than the AKG. In 1975 these two associations were merged into AKG De Ploegh. In 2004 the association moved to Soest, and it was no longer Amersfoort until the now LKG De Ploegh returned in 2015. All kinds of diverse artistic styles and disciplines are represented in this association. LKG De Ploegh has over 100 members and is growing.
