Postcubism

Post-cubism is a vague term used to refer to Parisian cubist painting. This form of cubism arose as a confrontation with or as a later reaction to the original cubism. This variant is more playful, fashionable and decorative than Cubism. Post-Cubist artists have difficulty with the far-reaching, abstract facets, the rejection of color and the use of all kinds of everyday materials in the collages. Post-cubism arises when cubism is in full development. However, it was not until after the First World War that post-cubism took on its characteristic synthesizing guise.
