Arkadiy Kurta werd in 1977 in Oekraïne geboren en studeerde in 2007 af aan de Kiev School of Photography.
Fine art naaktfotografie onderzoekt de menselijke vorm in zijn puurste en meest kwetsbare staat. Het overstijgt de grenzen van conventionele fotografie en bevindt zich comfortabel in het rijk van esthetiek en sensualiteit. Het is altijd boeiend en vaak provocerend; het daagt maatschappelijke normen uit terwijl het de schoonheid en diversiteit van het menselijk lichaam viert.
Bijna tweehonderd jaar na de uitvinding ervan blijft de kunstzinnige zwart-witdruk de kijker betoveren met de 'welsprekendheid van de eenvoud'.
