Bob Immink - Silkscreen, Landscape

Born June 6, 1930 in Amsterdam.
Died June 1, 1989 in Ilpendam.
PA van Wigcheren, art reviewer for the Nieuwe Noord-Hollandse Courant, wrote the following about the artist Bob Immink:
"A passionate artist, who in his work - painting, watercolours, silkscreens and collages - tries to reduce the landscape to its essence. A master of omission, I have called Immink. Indicating that he eliminates all kinds of details in his work and only depicts the main points in powerful planes, without the recognisability of the landscapes he has captured disappearing.
In all works a powerful drive of the artist radiates. In terms of colour often very sparse, then again reduced to the most necessary, but sometimes also very explosive, without ever becoming pushy and hard. Sensitive and driven is the best way to describe Immink's work; produced with a great deal of craftsmanship".
