Condition: excellent. Bruneau (born 1957 in Wilrijk, lives and works in Berchem) is an enthusiastic painter. He likes to work in series and around simple themes such as the hat or the chair. He has a fascination with portraits of philosophers, artists and "character heads". His painting and drawing style refers to comics, cartoons and sometimes Keith Haring. What Bruneau makes is never melancholy or negativistic. As a painter he looks for the positive note everywhere. Humor is never far away. Sometimes he draws more than he paints. Accurate and sharp.
