This technique was developed in Israel. It is derived from the screen printing technique and is characterized by the use of sand mixed with pigments as a basic element. The sand comes from different deserts, depending on the desired texture and color. In the initial stages, the paper or canvas is covered with a layer of silicone and oil to keep the sand dry. The desired design is then screen printed onto this prepared surface. This printing technique produces bright, colorful works in relief.
