Dasha and Mari are twin sisters, born in Kiev, Ukraine in 1985.
Their stylish, cinematic works are reminiscent of the fashion photography of the past and there is a hint of master provocateur Helmut Newton in some of their more challenging pieces.
Their work combines fine art photography with a vintage fashion aesthetic to create an intricate blend of contemporary creativity. Combining classicism and modernity, their work lends a controlled extravagance to the camera’s insistent gaze.
