Eduard Alexander Hilverdink - Sailing day on the water

Oil paint size 45 x 37 cm frame size 24.5 x 18 cm Eduard Alexander Hilverdink (Amsterdam, 1846 – 1891) was a Dutch painter. Hilverdink lived and worked in Amsterdam. He was a student of his father Johannes Hilverdink (1813-1902). Hilverdink mainly painted, watercolored and drew cityscapes and landscapes. The watercolored and drawn cityscapes are usually realistic and accurate, with topographically correct representations of buildings and locations. He sometimes painted in oil paint in a looser style. In addition to city and village views, he also painted river views and landscapes. He lived and worked in Amsterdam. Works by Hilverdink can be found in the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam, the Stedelijk Museum Alkmaar, the John Selbach Museum Maaseik and the Amsterdam Museum.
