Frits van Eeden (Tilburg, 1944 - The Hague, 2022) grew up in The Hague. He received his professional training in The Hague and Amsterdam. After working in London for three years, he left for the United States and after a 'Best of Show' he was offered a part-time job by the Brevard Art Center and Museum in Melbourne, Florida. The first prize was a solo exhibition in the museum and a job as a teacher at the academy. He became a working member of Pulchri Studio in 1966, the Hague artists' association.
