Garstin COX is an artist born in 1892 and died in 1933. The artist's works have been publicly auctioned 434 times, mainly in the Paintings category. Cornish landscape, oil and pastel painter, steeped in nostalgia and romanticism. He is known in Belgium for his pastels, especially Campine. He exhibited regularly at the Royal West England Academy, of which he became an associate member in 1924, and became a member of the Newlyn Society of Artists. He also exhibited at the Royal Academy in Bristol and the London Guild Hall, as well as in Liverpool. He died young at the age of 41 after a viral infection during a flu epidemic.
