Léa Vanderstraeten (1929) is a Flemish-Belgian painter.
She studied at the Royal Academy in Ghent with Jules Toussaint De Sutter. Her work varies from still lifes such as flower arrangements to rural scenes and compositions with female figures.
In 1979 Lea Vanderstraeten won a gold medal for "Mérite artistique Européen". She then received a silver medal at the Salon des Artistes in Paris. And in 1983 she was knighted in the Order of Leopold II for her work. Ten years later she became Knight in the Order of the Crown for her entire oeuvre.
