Van Eeden studied from 1989 to 1993 at the evening course of the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. He received an incentive prize from the cultural institution Stroom in The Hague and from his graduation until 1997 only made drawings measuring nineteen by fourteen centimeters, later measuring nineteen by twenty-eight centimeters. These drawings include all kinds of images, invariably from photographs and illustrations from the period before his birth (ca. 1900 - 1965). His drawings can be found in many museums in the Netherlands and abroad, including the Moma. Exhibitions of his work have taken place in Albertina (Vienna), Drawing Room (London), Martin-Gropius-Bau (Berlin) and GEM (The Hague), among others.
