- Veelzijdig Zeeuws kunstschilder en graficus. Behaalde de akte M.O.-tekenen en werd leraar aan de academies van beeldende kunsten in Den Haag en Rotterdam. Na zijn pensionering woonde hij in Hoogerheide en later in Goes. Hij schilderde in zijn vroege periode in gematigd expressionistische stijl stillevens en landschappen. Later (na de oorlog) ook zelfs richting totale abstractie. Het streekmuseum de Bevelanden in Goes bezit werk van hem.
