About the artist
Paul Citroen, born in Berlin in 1893 and died in Wassenaar in 1983. He received his education at the Bauhaus in Weimar, Towards the end of WWI, 1917, he came to the Netherlands and was co-founder of a Bauhaus-like education in the Netherlands, the Nieuwe Kunstschool Amsterdam (1933-1937).
