Suze Slager-Velsen was born on November 6, 1883 in Oostburg and died on December 25, 1964 in Den Bosch. She followed an artistic education at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rotterdam. She was apprenticed to Arthur Briët, Dirk Harting and Piet Slager junior. She also drew and etched. Suze was active as an artist in Den Bosch and Hattem.
