Václav Chochola (1923 - 2005), one of the most respected photographers in Czechoslovakia, made portraits of Pasolini, Antonioni, Louis Armstrong, Man Ray, Brassaï in the sixties and during his working stay in Paris in 1969 he had a private session with Salvador Dalí.
In the last year of his life Chochola had a major exhibition 'Czech Photography IV' at the Leica Gallery, New York. He received the 'Trebia' prize from the Miró Gallery for his portraits of Dalí.
The print offered here is rare and comes from a private collection in Prague.
