Willem Visser - Forest path Broekpolder

Willem Visser studied at the Rotterdam Academy from 1974 to 1979. He regularly exhibited landscapes and cityscapes in the Netherlands and Belgium. He is particularly interested in landscapes and forest views. His work can be found in private and public collections at home and abroad. In this painting of a forest scene, the mood and atmosphere of the forest play an important role. It shows the forest in the summer, when everything is abundantly in leaf and the light falls through the vegetation and provides a surprising alternation of dark and light areas. The work was created following walks in the Broekpolder, a nature reserve near Vlaardingen.
