1-6-1960 / 12-8-2008Artist, singer and city beachcomber, better known as "Lieutenant Ernesto" in Leiden. Kamphuis initially made a name for himself as a musician and trumpeter with the punk band Ivy Green from Hazerswoude-Dorp, but then concentrated on other disciplines of artistry. He made collages and assemblages of things he found in bulky waste or at a flea market. He thought it was nice to give used things a second life. His work was last seen in 2010 at Galerie de Pieter under the title ?Collage and Assemblage?.
