About the artist: Pablo Picasso was born on October 25, 1881 in Málaga. Besides being a painter, Picasso was also a sculptor, draftsman, graphic artist, ceramist and jewelry designer. Picasso's working life is divided into periods, successively the blue, pink, cubist, classical, surreal, abstract and late periods. He settled in Montmartre in Paris, where he met women and artists such as Kees van Dongen, Joan Miró, Georges Braque, Pierre-August Renoir and Paul Cézanne. Gertrude Stein, writer and art collector, would become his main patroness. Picasso would become one of the most important artists of the twentieth century. Picasso died on April 8, 1973, at the age of 92 in France.

This lithograph was originally published in 1933, this work is a reissue from 1973 under the supervision of Société de la Propriété Artistique et des Dessins et Modèles (SPADEM). This is a copyright protection and collection agency founded by French visual artists and their heirs. This lithograph is signed in the stone with 'Picasso', and numbered in pencil. It concerns number 1083 of an edition of 1200. At the top it is glued on a black-coloured passe-partout cardboard. The height of the cardboard is 40 centimeters and the width is 50 centimeters.
